About us
Meta Church VR exists to reach people who don't know God, as well as those who desire a deeper relationship with Him, through the unique accessibility, immersion, and community that virtual reality provides.
You may notice that our church looks different from a traditional church—and that's intentional. Virtual reality allows people to express themselves in personal and creative ways through customizable avatars. Users can appear as any character or style they choose, helping remove many of the social barriers and anxieties often associated with public appearance.
We've found that this environment often encourages people to open up about their struggles, ask honest questions about faith, and explore who God is in a space where they feel comfortable and welcomed. For many, VR creates opportunities for connection and spiritual growth that might not otherwise exist.
We believe this technology can be used for a greater purpose, and we are committed to using virtual reality to share the Gospel, build authentic community, and help people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our Church follows the beliefs found in The Apostles Creed:

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; Born of the Virgin Mary; Suffered under Pontius Pilate; Was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into Hell; The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven; And sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit; The Christian Church, the Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.
We also understand that VRChat itself isn't always a godly place.
Meta Church VR's approach to Ministry derives from
1 Corinthians 9:19-23, where Paul writes concerning the lost:
"For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings."
- 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 (ESV)
IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind this does not mean we endorse ungodly avatars, and if you do see an avatar that makes you uncomfortable, VRChat allows you to hide an individual's avatar or block them entirely.
