The first of its kind

The first social VR Bible experience in VRChat.

Bible Island is a unique area within Meta Church’s world in VRChat where you can experience the scriptures like never before! It’s designed as a social space where visitors can explore God’s word, learn about Jesus, and grow in faith within a fully social environment.

The island features every book of the Bible, including summaries and context to help you truly understand passages. Whether you’re new to the faith, curious about Christianity, or a long-time believer, Bible Island offers a space to encounter the message of Jesus with users across the globe!

This project is the first of its kind—bringing the Bible into VRChat so that people from all over the world can read, study, and share their faith together!

The Bible Reader carries every book, Genesis to Revelation (NKJV), on walls of scripture you walk up to and read at full size, with a summary of each book at the lectern.

The lectern

Every book is a tap away. The lectern remembers your bookmark, offers large print and a private reading mode, and can lock the walls so nobody changes your page mid-chapter.

Two places to read

Same reader, second setting: the Bible Room.

Bible Island is not the only place to open the Bible in our world. Back among the autumn trees in the park is the Bible Room, with exactly the same Bible Reader: every book, the chapter walls, the summary at the lectern, bookmarks, large print, private reading.

There is nothing special about one over the other; the only difference is the atmosphere. Palm trees and sea on the island, autumn leaves and the park in the room. Pick whichever setting helps you settle in and read. Both are inside the Meta Church world, so you can wander between them.

How to get there.

Bible Island is not a separate world. It is an area within Meta Church’s world in VRChat, so getting there starts the same way as coming to church.

  1. Get into VRChat

    VRChat is free, and a headset is optional: you can join us in desktop, iOS, or Android mode if you are unable to acquire a VR headset!

    Look for the world named Meta Church, or use the launch link.

    You are already in the right world: head for the beach and the palm trees. Prefer the autumn trees? The Bible Room in the park has the very same reader. Not sure where to look? Ask in our Discord.
